GENCOs refers to 5 generation companies in Korea, KOSEP, KOMIPO, KOWEPO, KOSPO and EWP, which are all KEPCO's subsidiaries.
KOSEP (Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.), as of December 2011, is operating and maintaining power generation facilities with a total capacity of 8,396,000kW, equivalent to 10.6% of the nation's 79.2 million kW facilities' capacity. KOSEP is composed of six power plants. The management philosophy of KOSEP shall be encapsulated in the letters MSRC (Maximization of Stockholder Value, Satisfaction of Customer, Respect for Employee and Contribution to Society). Its aim is to achieve security and durable growth through adaptability.

KOMIPO (Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd.) as of January 2011 is generating 8,397.6MW in Korea. It is actively developing new overseas markets through its excellence in operational know-how for power plants. Its operations in Indonesia, for instance, include a total of 1,980MW worth of equipment supplied to the Cirebon and Tanjung Jati areas. Once these power plants enter full-scale operation in 2012 they will supply 15,610GWh of electricity to Indonesia, which is 9% of all power generated in the Java Island.
